Mr. Alsayed’s experience exceeds 25 years including working in the Ministry of Works and Housing, where he served as the Undersecretary for Housing & Management Affairs before becoming the CEO of Ithmaar Development Company in 2007. Mr. Alsayed received his BSc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas, MSc. in Structural Engineering from MSU in Dallas, Texas, and his Advanced Diploma in Project Management from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. He is also a Board Member in Naseej B.S.C. (c) & Olive VFM Holding Company B.S.C. (c).

SawsanSawsan M. Taqi

Project Manager, Infrastructure
Ms. Sawsan Taqi is a specialised Engineer in planning and development with more than 20 years of experience. She has experience working for Bahrain’s Electricity & Water Authority (EWA), where she served in various engineering positions, latest as Head of Network Planning & Design. She has been involved in EWA’s technical approvals of many multi-million dollar projects around the country, including Amwaj Islands, Bahrain Financial Harbour and Al Futtaim City Center. Ms. Sawsan is highly skilled in managing large projects and coordinating with multi-disciplinary infrastructure teams. Additionally, she is knowledgeable with various authorities standards & regulations, contracts management and administration. She holds a BSc. Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from DePaul University – Chicago, USA, both with Honours.

Jean ClaudeJean-Claude Bejjani

Project Manager
Mr. Jean-Claude Bejjani holds 2 Masters’ Degrees – one in Architecture from Versailles School of Architecture, France and the second in Architecture and Urban Sociology from Belleville School of Architecture, Paris, France. Mr. Bejjani has more than 12 years’ experience in urban planning and project development. Prior to working at IDC, Mr. Bejjani was employed by Partenaires Développement – Groupe SETEC, France, leading the Consortium of French Town Planning. Jean Claude’s experience includes project planning and development, feasibility studies, construction management, cost management, contract administration, architecture, urban planning, infrastructure, facility management, dredging and reclamation as well as design development.

Waleed AliWaleed Ali

Manager, Investment
Mr. Waleed Ali is a Bahraini national who started his career with Ithmaar Development Company in 2008 after receiving his joint Bachelor Degree (with Honors) in Economics and History from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. In addition to managing Dilmunia’s non-technical development, Mr. Ali’s experience includes being a member of the team leading commercial aspects of the first regional Affordable Housing Public Private Partnership initiative, a USD 430 million project, focusing on project structuring, financial modeling, debt fundraising and contract negotiations. He is also experienced in REIT structuring, community governance, property management, property and infrastructure projects feasibility and due diligence with a specific focus on market pricing and comparative research.
